Back label

Methods, regions and people

Backlabel is our look at where wine truly begins: not with ratings, not with grand pronounTements, but with decisions. In the vineyard, in the cellar, in the minds of the people behind it. Here, it's about origin, not romanticized notions of origin, about style, not show, about substance, not marketing. We write about the methods, regions, producers, and developments that shape wine—and about those that change it. Sometimes technical, sometimes cultural, sometimes uncomfortable. But always comprehensible.

It's a magazine for everyone who wants to know why a wine is the way it is. For readers who don't just want to drink, but understand. What shines on the front, we explain in the back. And we leave the label where it belongs – on the bottle.
