Emmanuel Rouget is one of the big names from Vosne-Romanée and ranks among the top producers of the Côte de Nuits. The small estate cultivates parcels in some of Burgundy's finest vineyards – including legendary terroirs like Echezeaux and Cros Parantoux. What makes Rouget special is his purist philosophy: minimal intervention in the cellar, respectful treatment of the grapes, and a trust in the authenticity of the terroir. His Pinot Noirs are characterized by elegant structure, fine tannins, and impressive complexity – they are not bombastic, but precise and expressive.

The Emmanuel Rouget Cros Parantoux 2005 Cros Parantoux is far more than a wine – it's a piece of Burgundian legend. Emmanuel Rouget inherited this tiny Premier Cru vineyard, just 1,01 hectares in size, in Vosne-Romanée from his legendary uncle Henri Jayer, who cleared and replanted the plot in the 1950s. Emmanuel Rouget works with meticulous care: low yields, late harvest, long maceration, and aging in French barriques, a high proportion of which are new.
