The Bernard Bonin Genevrières Premier Cru 2016 It comes from one of Meursault's most prestigious vineyards in the heart of the Burgundian Côte de Beaune. Bernard Bonin cultivates his vineyards with the utmost care, producing Wines that combine elegance and substance. The Genevrières vineyard lies on a hillside, where calcareous soils lend the Chardonnay mineral depth.
The wine is produced using traditional methods: after hand-harvesting, fermentation takes place spontaneously in French barriques, some of which are new. Aging on the fine lees lasts approximately 14 months, during which the wine is regularly stirred. This process creates the creamy texture that characterizes this Premier Cru, without masking its freshness.
The nose reveals ripe yellow fruit – peach, mirabelle plum, apricot – accompanied by butter, roasted hazelnuts, and a hint of white blossoms. On the palate, a buttery complexity unfolds, supported by lively acidity and a delicate minerality. The finish is long, saline, and laced with subtle spice.
