The traditional Paul Jaboulet Aîné winery has been cultivating top vineyard sites on the steep Hermitage hill above Tain-l'Hermitage for generations. Wines from the RhôneLa Chapelle is considered the flagship wine of the house – a wine that has made international wine history.
The 2003 Vintage was characterized by extreme heat and drought, resulting in concentrated, powerful Wines with low yields. The Syrah grapes came from the best parcels of the appellation and were vinified using traditional methods. Aging took place in barriques, which gave the wine its remarkable complexity and structure.
On the nose, a dense bouquet of black fruits, cassis, and blackberries unfolds, accompanied by notes of dark chocolate, tobacco, and subtle toasty nuances.
