Note for mature Wines – older than 10 years
As purveyors of exclusive, aged Wines, we personally inspect every incoming bottle – and only list Wines we would buy ourselves. All images on our website are photographed by us and show the actual condition of the bottle in our warehouse.
Wine is a living product. As it ages, its aroma, color, and flavor change—sometimes for the better, as tertiary aromas develop, sometimes for the worse, as a wine loses its freshness. This is the character of aged Wines, and precisely what makes them special.
Since we can only assess the visual condition and fill level of a bottle, the sensory risk with mature Wines lies in the nature of the product – not in our care. Therefore, we cannot accept liability for taste, aroma, or cork taint in Wines aged for more than 10 years, nor in any Wines shipped by mail.
An exception applies to cork taint in unaged Wines: Bring the bottle to our store at Wipplingerstraße 12 the next day – we will check it on site and of course replace it if the taint is confirmed.
We thank you for your trust and understanding.
