The Dom Pérignon Philosophy

Dom Pérignon has a minimalist winemaking philosophy. All artificial intervention is avoided. Oxidation is its arch-enemy. Blending is the foundation of the Dom Pérignon style. It adheres to timeless principles. Slow, extended aging of the wine on the lees is the price Dom Pérignon pays to produce an incomparable Champagne and one of the most complex Wines in existence.

Wine Criticism Background
Antonio Galloni

"Bright and poised, the 2015 shows terrific energy. Citrus peel, white flowers, mint, white pepper and slate all race across the palate. There's gorgeous tension and backbone here, with bright saline notes that extend the mid‑palate and finish."

Dom Pérignon – Vintage 2015

The year 2015 was marked by extreme weather conditions that demanded a great deal from the vines – ultimately producing a Vintage that impresses with its concentration, structure, and depth. After a mild winter, spring arrived early and dry, leading to rapid bud break. However, in early summer, intense heat waves and drought stress presented challenges for the vineyards. July was one of the hottest since records began. It wasn't until August that temperatures cooled down, accompanied by welcome rain that revitalized the vines and rebalanced the ripening process. The harvest at Dom Pérignon began on September 1st under ideal conditions. The grapes were in perfect condition – ripe, concentrated, yet fresh. Particularly noteworthy is the remarkable balance between dense fruit and precise acidity, which lends the 2015 Dom Pérignon exceptional tension and elegance. A Vintage that shines through its contrasts – and which blend harmoniously in the Dom Pérignon cuvée.

Dom Pérignon Vintage 2013 tasting notes

The nose: The bouquet opens with impressive clarity and precision. Delicate aromas of white blossoms, citrus peel, and mandarin orange mingle with a hint of fresh mint and white pepper. Deeper nuances of toasted brioche, wet stone, and a subtle iodine note unfold beneath – a play of freshness, spice, and salty minerality.

The palate: On the palate, the 2015 Dom Pérignon is both full-bodied and taut. The texture is creamy and finely effervescent, supported by vibrant acidity. The mid-palate reveals a captivating balance of ripe fruit, floral elegance, and chalky depth. The finish is long, characterized by a saline freshness, and leaves a lasting impression of precision and energy.

A fine wine for every occasion.
