Les Perrieres 2015

The 2015 Meo Camuzet Les Perrières is a Premier Cru from Nuits-Saint-Georges that showcases what the Meo Camuzet winery achieves from its top-tier vineyards. Les Perrières is ideally situated on a hillside, and the stony soils lend structure and minerality to the Pinot Noir. The winery is among the most respected in Burgundy , where manual labor and biodynamic principles form the foundation of its winemaking.

The grapes are selectively harvested, spontaneously fermented, and aged in French barriques – some of them new. Aging lasts approximately 18 months, allowing the wine to develop complexity without losing its Burgundian finesse. 2015 was a warm Vintage, which lends the Meo Camuzet Les Perrières 2015 richness and ripeness without sacrificing its typical freshness.

The nose opens with aromas of dark cherry, accompanied by forest floor, clove, and a hint of tobacco. On the palate, a silky texture, fine tannins, and an earthy, mineral depth that lingers long on the finish. The finish is long, elegant, and subtly spiced – a wine that has had time and still needs more.
