About the manufacturer
Petrus
Petrus is a winery of superlatives – and rightly so. On the right bank of Bordeaux, in Pomerol, this small, legendary estate has earned an unparalleled reputation. What makes Petrus so special is its consistent pursuit of perfection in every detail: optimal grape selection, classic vinification, and aging in new French oak barrels create Wines of incredible complexity and elegance.
The soil here is the heart of the estate – a dense clay core that provides optimal conditions for the Merlot grapes (the main variety). The result is Wines with a silky texture, intense fruit, and a structure that matures over decades. Each Vintage is a journey – intricately woven, powerful, and yet delicate.
At Petrus, you won't find mass production, but rather only about 30.000 bottles per year. This makes these Wines highly sought-after collector's items and valuable investments. Whether you're looking for a classic Vintage for your collection or want to try a current Vintage – at Wine In Time you'll find access to this Bordeaux legend with expert advice and authenticity.

Petrus
The 2016 Petrus is the undisputed icon of Pomerol and one of the most sought-after Wines in the world. Château Petrus cultivates just under eleven hectares on a unique plateau of blue clay, which imparts exceptional depth and concentration to the Merlot. Petrus occupies a special place among Bordeaux Wines – without an official classification, but with absolute cult status.
The 2016 Vintage is considered one of the great classic Vintages in Bordeaux. The grapes were hand-harvested, selected, and vinified in small concrete tanks. Aging took place over 18 months in new French oak barrels, which give the wine structure without masking its elegant fruit. Buying Petrus Petrus 2016 means investing in a masterpiece of winemaking that can age for decades.
On the nose, a captivating bouquet of dark cherries, cassis, violets, and delicate spice notes unfolds. On the palate, the 2016 Petrus is powerful yet silky, with velvety tannins, perfect balance, and tremendous length. The finish is majestic, mineral, and impressively precise.
At Wine In Time in Vienna, you can order this exceptional wine online and have it delivered to your home via express delivery. Discover other rare Wines in our Red Wine selection.
