About the manufacturer
Marquis d'Angerville
Marquis d'Angerville is a traditional winery from Volnay in the Côte de Beaune, renowned for generations for its Pinot Noirs of the utmost elegance. The family cultivates their Wines according to strict principles – minimal intervention in the cellar, no over-extraction, and maximum respect for the fruit.
You can recognize the Wines of Marquis d'Angerville by their refined, balanced character: they are not bombastic, but sophisticated. Their characteristic minerality and delicate tannin structure make them particularly complex and age-worthy. Vineyards like Clos des Ducs or Taillepieds demonstrate just how diverse and profound Burgundy can be – from spicy and elegant to dense and structured.
The winery embodies an authentic Burgundy philosophy: quality over quantity, expression of the terroir rather than modern trends. The Wines often need time to develop, but reward patience with impressive complexity and freshness.
At Wine In Time you will find a carefully selected range of these precious bottles – curated by people who understand and love Burgundy.

The Marquis d'Angerville Taillepieds Premier Cru 2012 comes from one of Volnay's most prestigious vineyards in the heart of Burgundy. The Marquis d'Angerville estate has cultivated this Premier Cru vineyard for generations with an uncompromising dedication to quality. The grapes grow on calcareous soils, which impart the characteristic mineral depth to Burgundy Wines .
The wine is produced using traditional methods: spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, gentle extraction, and aging in French barriques, only a small portion of which are new. The 2012 Vintage is a classic example, exhibiting a perfect balance between fruit, structure, and elegance. The absence of fining and minimal filtration preserve the authentic character of this Pinot Noir.
On the nose, aromas of red cherries, raspberries, and subtle floral notes unfold, underscored by delicate spice and a hint of undergrowth. On the palate, the 2012 Marquis d'Angerville Taillepieds is robust and classic: silky tannins, lively acidity, and impressive length. The finish is long, precise, and characterized by mineral freshness.
