Aux Murgers 2023

The Meo Camuzet Aux Murgers Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru 2023 is a precise expression of Burgundian winemaking. The venerable Meo Camuzet estate is one of Burgundy's most prestigious wineries and cultivates the Aux Murgers vineyard with meticulous care. This Premier Cru parcel in Nuits-Saint-Georges is situated on a hillside and produces Pinot Noir of remarkable depth. The 2023 Vintage is concentrated yet elegant – a wine that effortlessly strikes the perfect balance between power and finesse.

The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified with the utmost precision in the cellar. Fermentation takes place in open wooden vats, followed by aging in French oak barriques, some of which are new. This method lends the Meo Camuzet Aux Murgers 2023 structure and complexity without masking its fruit clarity. The result is a wine that makes both its origin and craftsmanship palpable.

On the nose, a bouquet of dark cherries, blackberries, and a subtle hint of undergrowth unfolds. These are complemented by nuances of clove and a touch of smoke. On the palate, the wine is dense and velvety, supported by an elegant tannic structure. The fruit is ripe but never overpowering. The finish is long, mineral, and imbued with a vibrant freshness.
