About the manufacturer
U-bolt
Cavallotto is a traditional winery from Piedmont, more precisely from the legendary Barolo region. For generations, the family has cultivated their vineyards with great care and produced Wines with genuine character – never standardized or made without love.
The winery is known for its distinctive style: Cavallotto works with extended aging periods and a respectful approach to the Nebbiolo grapes. The result is Barolos that are both powerful and elegant, with a perfect balance between structure and finesse. The Bricco Boschis is a prime example – this wine from a single vineyard demonstrates just how complex and multifaceted a great Barolo can be.
What makes Cavallotto special is its authenticity: here, they don't follow trends, but rather traditional, artisanal principles. At this winery, you won't find over-extracted, over-oaked Wines, but genuine expressions of terroir that become even more interesting with age.
At Wine In Time you get direct access to such characterful classics that will broaden your understanding of great Barolo Wines.

Barolo Bricco Boschis
The Cavallotto Barolo Bricco Boschis 2010 Magnum is a monumental Riserva from the heart of Piedmont , vinified with exceptional dedication by the Cavallotto winery in Castiglione Falletto. The 2010 Vintage is considered one of the best of the century, and this 1,5-liter bottle preserves the essence of this legendary year with particular elegance. The grapes come from the renowned Bricco Boschis vineyard, whose calcareous soils impart to the Nebbiolo the powerful structure and mineral depth for which Barolo is prized worldwide.
The vinification follows the traditional Piedmontese method: spontaneous fermentation, extended maceration, and years of aging in large wooden casks. This Riserva spent additional years in the cellar before release – a patience evident in every nuance. The result is a wine of impressive complexity and aging potential that will provide enjoyment for decades to come.
On the nose, the 2010 Cavallotto Barolo Bricco Boschis unfolds a complex bouquet of ripe red cherries, dried roses, tobacco leaf, and delicate truffle notes. On the palate, it displays firm tannins that transform into a velvety texture over time, accompanied by dark berries, licorice, and a subtle minerality. The finish is long, powerful, and characterized by an almost eternal persistence – a wine that transcends the moment.
At Wine In Time in Vienna, you'll find this exquisite Red Wine rarity and can conveniently order it online. With express delivery, we'll bring this Piedmontese treasure directly to your door. Perfect for collectors and connoisseurs seeking something extraordinary.
Decant it at least two hours before serving and serve at 18 degrees Celsius. It pairs wonderfully with braised venison, truffle risotto, or aged Parmesan – a feast for all the senses.
