Cabernet Sauvignon 1997

The 1997 Abreu Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is considered a milestone in Californian wine culture and is among the most sought-after rarities from Napa Valley. David Abreu, cult winemaker and vineyard architect, created a wine of monumental intensity and unparalleled precision with this Vintage. The grapes come from hand-selected parcels in California , where volcanic soils and optimal hillside location create ideal conditions for exceptional Cabernet Sauvignons.

After precise hand-harvesting, the grapes were gently vinified and aged in new French oak barrels. The Abreu Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 1997 matured for months in wood, developing the multifaceted complexity that has made it a legend. Minimal intervention in the cellar allows the pure essence of the terroir to speak for itself.

On the nose, an opulent bouquet of blackcurrants, cassis, and dark cherries unfolds, accompanied by cedar, graphite, and a hint of tobacco. On the palate, the 1997 Abreu Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon is powerful and structured, with velvety tannins that are perfectly integrated. Notes of licorice, chocolate, and spices lend impressive depth. The finish is almost endless, elegant, and remarkably fresh.
