The Bruno Clair Clos de Beze Grand Cru 2021 comes from one of the most venerable vineyards of the Burgundy – the Clos de Bèze in Gevrey-Chambertin. Bruno Clair runs this traditional winery with great respect for terroir and craftsmanship. This Grand Cru parcel, located right next to the legendary Chambertin, has been producing Wines of exceptional depth and complexity for centuries.
Buying grapes for the Bruno Clair Clos de Beze 2021 means bringing home a piece of Burgundian wine history. Vinification is carried out traditionally: spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, gentle extraction, and extended aging in oak barrels, some of which are new. The 2021 Vintage produced concentrated, aromatic Wines with a fine acid structure – an excellent foundation for this Grand Cru.
On the nose, a multi-layered bouquet of dark cherries, blackberries, and wild strawberries unfolds, accompanied by delicate notes of violets, undergrowth, and subtly integrated oak. On the palate, the 2021 Bruno Clair Clos de Beze is concentrated yet elegant: silky tannins, precise fruit, vibrant minerality, and a savory spice reminiscent of truffles and damp earth.
