About the manufacturer
Marquis d'Angerville
Marquis d'Angerville is a traditional winery from Volnay in the Côte de Beaune, renowned for generations for its Pinot Noirs of the utmost elegance. The family cultivates their Wines according to strict principles – minimal intervention in the cellar, no over-extraction, and maximum respect for the fruit.
You can recognize the Wines of Marquis d'Angerville by their refined, balanced character: they are not bombastic, but sophisticated. Their characteristic minerality and delicate tannin structure make them particularly complex and age-worthy. Vineyards like Clos des Ducs or Taillepieds demonstrate just how diverse and profound Burgundy can be – from spicy and elegant to dense and structured.
The winery embodies an authentic Burgundy philosophy: quality over quantity, expression of the terroir rather than modern trends. The Wines often need time to develop, but reward patience with impressive complexity and freshness.
At Wine In Time you will find a carefully selected range of these precious bottles – curated by people who understand and love Burgundy.

Buying the Marquis d'Angerville Clos des Ducs 2022 means having one of the most exquisite Wines from Volnay in your glass. Domaine Marquis d'Angerville has cultivated this Premier Cru monopole vineyard for generations and is one of the historic flagship estates of Burgundy . The Clos des Ducs lies in the heart of Volnay, on calcareous soils that offer the Pinot Noir ideal conditions for structure and elegance.
The vinification of the Marquis d'Angerville Clos des Ducs 2022 follows traditional Burgundian methods: spontaneous fermentation, careful extraction, and aging in oak barrels without excessive use of new oak. The result is a wine that emphasizes authenticity and terroir. The 2022 Vintage is already remarkably approachable in its youth, yet retains the potential for many years of aging.
On the nose, a bouquet of red cherries, raspberries, and a delicate floral note unfolds, accompanied by subtle spice and mineral freshness. On the palate, the Marquis d'Angerville Clos des Ducs 2022 reveals a silky texture, precise fruit, and a fine acidity that lends it vibrancy. The finish is long, elegant, and subtly spiced – a wine that lingers long after you've finished.
