The Heinrich Gernot Gabarinza 2004 is an impressive Red Wine blend from the Burgenland, which makes Gernot Heinrich one of Austria's most renowned winemakers. Composed of Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and Merlot, this wine combines Pannonian power with Burgundian finesse – matured in a magnum bottle, which gives it additional depth of development.
The grapes come from old vines around Lake Neusiedl. After selective hand-harvesting and gentle vinification, the Gabarinza matured in French barriques. The result: a cuvée that unfolds its full complexity after almost two decades of aging. Dark fruit meets earthy notes, framed by subtle oak spice and silky tannins.
On the nose, the 2004 Heinrich Gernot Gabarinza reveals aromas of blackberry, cassis, and cherry compote, accompanied by tobacco, leather, and a hint of vanilla.
