About the manufacturer
Circle
Krug is one of the world's most legendary Champagne houses, representing the pinnacle of craftsmanship in Champagne since 1843. Based in Reims, the house adheres to a distinctive philosophy: each Champagne is a work of art, meticulously blended from hundreds of Wines. This art of cuvée is at the heart of Krug's identity, making each Vintage truly special.
The Grande Cuvée is Krug's classic – a finely tuned blend of different Vintages and vineyards, offering consistent elegance and complexity. The limited Vintages, on the other hand, showcase the potential of exceptional Champagne years and develop beautifully in the cellar.
What truly sets Krug apart is its attention to detail: long maturation periods, traditional fermentation in small wooden barrels, minimal dosage – all of which requires time and patience. The result is champagne with depth, mineral freshness, and delicate notes that linger on the palate.
At Wine In Time you will find a carefully selected range of Krug champagnes, from the tried and tested Grande Cuvée to rare Vintage bottles – something for every special moment.

The Krug Grande Cuvée 170th Edition is far more than a Champagne – it embodies the philosophy of a house that has celebrated perfection for generations. Originating in the Champagne region , this wine represents the high art of blending: approximately 140 Wines from up to ten different Vintages are combined to create a unique balance of complexity and harmony. The Krug estate relies on the three great grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, which come together in perfect symbiosis.
The vinification takes place partly in small oak barrels, which gives the Krug Grande Cuvée 170ème Edition additional depth and structure. Each parcel is vinified separately to preserve the individual character of each vineyard. This meticulous handcraft is reflected in every glass and makes this Champagne a true masterpiece.
On the nose, a captivating bouquet unfolds, revealing notes of brioche, roasted hazelnuts, fresh citrus fruits, and delicate florals. The palate displays impressive complexity: a creamy texture meets vibrant freshness, with aromas of ripe apples, honey, and a hint of spice dancing elegantly across the tongue. The finish is long and precise, leaving a lasting impression of finesse and depth.
