About the manufacturer
Ponsot
Ponsot is one of the most legendary wineries in Burgundy and has stood for world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay for generations. Originating from the small village of Morey-Saint-Denis, the Ponsot family cultivates some of the region's most prized vineyards – including Grand Crus such as Chambertin, Clos de Bèze, and Montrachet.
What makes Ponsot special is its uncompromising philosophy of quality. The winery works traditionally, with minimal intervention in the cellar to authentically preserve the essence of each terroir. The Wines are not made to please – they are built to last. They develop a complex minerality, precise fruit, and a silky-elegant structure that reflects Burgundy in its purest form.
At Ponsot, you'll find Wines designed for both immediate enjoyment and decades of aging. Each bottle tells a story of craftsmanship, history, and a profound understanding of the land.
At Wine In Time you get access to these iconic Burgundies with expert advice – a rare combination that will truly enrich your wine collection.

Griotte Chambertin
The Ponsot Griotte Chambertin Grand Cru 2010 is one of the most iconic Wines Burgundy has to offer. The venerable Ponsot estate cultivates some of the most coveted vineyards in the world in Burgundy – more precisely in Gevrey-Chambertin. Griotte-Chambertin is one of the smallest and most exclusive Grand Cru appellations, demanding decades of experience and an uncompromising commitment to quality.
Ponsot's winemaking follows traditional methods: spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, extended maceration, and careful aging in French oak barrels. The 2010 Vintage is considered classic, concentrated, and age-worthy – ideal for lovers of Burgundian Pinot Noir artistry. Ponsot deliberately avoids fining and filtration to preserve the pure essence of the terroir.
On the nose, a complex bouquet unfolds, revealing aromas of dark cherries, raspberries, delicate spice notes, and a hint of forest floor. On the palate, the wine is robust and classic: silky tannins, vibrant acidity, concentrated fruit, and a mineral depth that will age beautifully for many years. The finish is long, elegant, and subtly spicy.
At Wine In Time, you can conveniently order this exceptional Grand Cru online and have it delivered to Vienna or anywhere in Austria. Also, discover our selection of Red Wines, featuring other rare Wines from around the world.
Serve the Ponsot Griotte Chambertin 2010 at around 16–18 °C with duck, goose or game birds – it is the perfect accompaniment for festive occasions and discerning palates.
