About the manufacturer
Antinori
Antinori is one of the oldest and most influential wineries in Tuscany – a family that has been making wine for over 600 years, actively shaping Italian wine culture. The Antinori brothers have not only preserved their own traditions but have also had the courage to push boundaries and forge new paths.
What truly sets Antinori apart is this balancing act between respecting the terroir and innovative winemaking. In Wines like the Tignanello, one of the first Super Tuscans, you see how Sangiovese blends with Cabernet Sauvignon – a concept that was revolutionary at the time. The Solaia embodies a similar philosophy with different grape combinations, while the Guado al Tasso demonstrates the winery's diverse approach.
The quality is consistently high, the Wines age well and develop wonderfully complex aromas over the years. Antinori Wines are not for casual drinking – they deserve your full attention and reward you with depth and character.
At Wine In Time you will find a curated selection of these impressive Wines, giving you access to this Tuscan legend.

The Antinori Guado al Tasso 2020 is one of the flagship Wines of this traditional Tuscan winery and comes from the renowned Tenuta Guado al Tasso in the Maremma region. On this estate near Bolgheri, where Mediterranean influences meet cool sea breezes, ideal conditions are created for Bordeaux grape varieties. For decades, the Marchesi Antinori winery has cultivated Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot here – varieties that reach their full potential in this Tuscan coastal region. Discover more about Tuscan Wines and their fascinating diversity.
The Antinori Guado al Tasso 2020 is vinified with the utmost care: After selective hand-harvesting, the grapes are vinified separately, and maceration lasts up to three weeks. The wine is then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, two-thirds of which are new. This classic method gives the wine its impressive structure and its aging potential of two decades.
On the nose, a complex bouquet of dark berries, cassis, and blackberry unfolds, complemented by nuances of tobacco, cedar, and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the 2020 Guado al Tasso is powerful yet elegant, with velvety tannins and a vibrant structure. Notes of blackcurrant, chocolate, and subtle spices accompany you to the long, harmonious finish.
