About the manufacturer
William Grant & Sons
William Grant & Sons is an independent Scottish distilling family with a fascinating history. Founded in Speyside in 1887, the company has evolved from a whisky producer into an international spirits group – without ever relinquishing control to external investors. This independence continues to shape its philosophy today: quality over quantity, craftsmanship over trends.
With Hendrick's Gin, William Grant & Sons has created something extraordinary. The gin differs fundamentally from classic botanical blends – the secret ingredient is cucumber extract, which gives the gin a refreshing, velvety smoothness. This is not a gimmick, but rather sophisticated distilling artistry. Hendrick's has redefined a genre and become a modern classic worldwide.
The distillery works with carefully selected botanicals and traditional distillation methods. Each batch is handled with the same precision you would expect from a family business with over 135 years of experience. The result: consistent quality you can taste.
At Wine In Time you will find Hendrick's in selected varieties – perfect for discovering and enjoying this exceptional gin.

William Grant & Sons
Hendrick's Gin from William Grant & Sons in the Scottish Highlands is in a class of its own. Distilled at the time-honored Girvan Distillery, it combines classic gin botanicals with two unusual signatures: cucumber and rose. This unconventional combination makes it a cult product among spirits enthusiasts, a welcome departure from standard gins. Spirits from Scotland enjoy the highest reputation worldwide – Hendrick's impressively demonstrates that innovation and tradition are not mutually exclusive.
The production process is elaborate: Hendrick's is produced in two different distillation systems – a traditional Carter-Head still and a small Bennett still. Both distillates are then blended and refined with cucumber and rose essence. This double distillation gives the gin its exceptional complexity and smooth texture at 41,4% ABV.
On the nose, William Grant & Sons Hendrick's Gin unfolds classic juniper notes, followed by floral rose petals and a hint of fresh cucumber. On the palate, it is soft and complex: juniper meets subtle citrus nuances, coriander, and a cool cucumber freshness. The finish remains elegantly dry, with a lingering floral echo and gentle spice that resonates long after.
