About the manufacturer
Klaus Peter Keller
Klaus Peter Keller is one of the great names in German wine – and rightly so. The winery from the Rheinhessen region is known for Riesling Wines of exceptional precision and depth. Klaus Peter Keller follows a philosophy that places terroir and authenticity at the forefront.
What makes this winery special is its consistent focus on the highest quality – without over-processing the wine. The Wines are mineral, elegant, and display a genuine tension between fruit and mineral notes. At Keller, you'll find both dry and off-dry Rieslings that directly reflect their regional character. Vineyards like the renowned "Abtserde" demonstrate just how nuanced and complex German Riesling quality can be.
The Wines mature for extended periods in the cellar – hence the name – developing remarkable aging potential. This isn't a luscious Riesling style, but rather one that rewards patience and attention. Whether as a young, fresh wine or a mature example, Klaus Peter Keller Wines are for those who want to understand what's truly in the glass. At Wine In Time, you'll find a carefully curated selection of these exceptional Wines.

Kirchspiel
The Klaus Peter Keller Kirchspiel 2009 Magnum is more than just a wine – it's a monument to German Riesling culture. This exceptional wine comes from the world-famous Kirchspiel vineyard in Rheinhessen and, as a Grosses Gewächs (Grand Cru), represents the highest quality level of the VDP (Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates). The Klaus Peter Keller winery is considered one of the best in the world, and this Vintage impressively demonstrates why.
The grapes grew on the mineral-rich limestone soils of the top Kirchspiel vineyard in Westhofen. After careful hand-harvesting, vinification was carried out with utmost precision: spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts, followed by extended aging on the fine lees in traditional wooden barrels. The magnum bottle ensures particularly harmonious maturation and significantly extends the development potential of this exceptional Riesling.
On the nose, a captivating interplay of aromas unfolds, including ripe peaches, exotic fruits, and delicate minerality. The palate reveals a perfect balance between tropical fruit richness and cool, saline spice. Precise acidity effortlessly supports the dense texture, while the endlessly long finish is characterized by stony minerality and a subtle hint of honey. A wine of monumental depth and elegance.
At Wine In Time you'll find first-class White Wines from all over the world, and this Klaus Peter Keller Kirchspiel 2009 Magnum is undoubtedly one of the absolute highlights. Order it online now and benefit from our express delivery to Vienna and all of Austria.
