About the manufacturer
Veuve Clicquot
Veuve Clicquot is one of the world's most legendary champagne houses, synonymous with elegance and quality for over 200 years. Founded in Reims in 1772, the house continues to play a decisive role in shaping the style of modern champagne.
What makes Veuve Clicquot so special is its unmistakable style: full-bodied, mature champagnes with great character. The house focuses on high-quality cuvées where dosage plays a crucial role – it lends the Wines their characteristic fruitiness and elegance. The famous yellow bottle has become its hallmark and symbolizes excellence.
In our selection, you'll find not only classic varieties but also innovative interpretations like the rosé champagnes, which are captivatingly elegant with their coppery-gold color and berry notes. Special editions like "Rich On Ice" demonstrate the house's modern approach – without losing sight of its roots.
At Wine In Time you not only get the iconic champagnes from Veuve Clicquot, but also personal advice from true connoisseurs who will help you find exactly the right product for your moment.

The Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2018 is a reverential tribute to Barbe-Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin, the Grande Dame of Champagne. This exceptional cuvée is produced exclusively in the best Vintages and unites the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from the House's eight historic Grand Crus in Champagne.
Vinification is carried out with the utmost care: After separate fermentation of the parcels, the wine matures for at least ten years on the lees in the cool cellars of Reims. This long maturation period lends the Grande Dame its exceptional complexity and finesse. The 2018 Vintage was characterized by ideal climatic conditions – a sunny, warm summer with balanced rainfall produced grapes of impressive ripeness and concentration.
On the nose, the Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2018 unfolds an enchanting bouquet of white blossoms, ripe pears, and candied citrus fruits, accompanied by delicate brioche notes and a hint of almond. On the palate, it is powerful yet elegant: a creamy texture, precise acidity, aromas of yellow fruits, fresh brioche, and a subtle minerality. The finish is long, silky, and remarkably deep. This prestige cuvée is part of our exclusive sparkling wine selection at Wine In Time – Available in Vienna with express delivery so you can enjoy it as soon as possible.
Serve La Grande Dame well chilled at 8–10°C as an aperitif or for festive occasions. It pairs wonderfully with fine seafood, roasted lobster, scallops, or creamy risottos. A champagne that combines elegance and history.
