The L'Eglise Clinet 2016 It comes from one of the most prestigious wineries in Pomerol and combines the finesse of Wines from Bordeaux With the concentration of a great Vintage. Château L'Eglise-Clinet cultivates old vines on clay and gravel soils, which give the wine its characteristic density and elegance. This Vintage is considered one of the best of the past decade – powerful, but never heavy.
The blend consists predominantly of Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc. After selective hand-harvesting, the wine matured in French oak barrels, some new, some used. Vinification was carried out using classic methods: controlled fermentation, extended maceration, and gentle pressing. The result is a wine of impressive structure and aging potential, which is already approachable but can age for decades.
On the nose, the 2016 L'Eglise Clinet unfolds aromas of dark cherries, blackberries, and plums, underpinned by notes of cedar, tobacco, and fine minerality.
