The Knoll Loibner Beerenauslese 2006 is an exceptional Riesling Sweet Wine from the Wachau region, one of the most renowned Wine regions of AustriaThe Knoll winery in Loiben has stood for uncompromising quality and precise craftsmanship for generations. This Vintage, from a warm year favored by botrytis, showcases the full finesse of noble rot grapes without sacrificing freshness or elegance.
The grapes for the Loibner Beerenauslese come from steep, terraced vineyards around Loiben. Only fully ripe berries affected by noble rot were selectively harvested and vinified with the utmost care in the cellar. Aging took place in large wooden casks, giving the wine time and space to mature without overpowering it. The result: a Sweet Wine of remarkable complexity and longevity.
On the nose, an intense bouquet of candied apricots, honeydew melon, orange zest, and delicate roasted notes unfolds. On the palate, the 2006 Knoll Loibner Beerenauslese is lush but never cloying, thanks to its fine acidity and mineral backbone. The finish is long, with a play of sweetness, salt, and ripe fruit that lingers for minutes.
