About the manufacturer
Raveneau
Raveneau is a small, legendary winery from Kimmeridge in the Chablis region, renowned for generations for producing top-quality Chablis. The family works according to traditional methods and cultivates their vineyards with great care – authenticity is paramount, not mass production.
What makes Raveneau special is its consistent focus on mineral elegance and precision. The Wines are not opulent or easily approachable, but rather challenge you to truly get to know them. With Raveneau, you'll find the pure terroir of Chablis: limestone, salinity, the necessary acidity, and a delicate structure that develops over years.
Butteaux, for example, demonstrates how magnificent Grand Cru Chablis can be when craftsmanship and respect for the wine come together. Yields are deliberately low, fermentation occurs spontaneously, and aging is traditional. The result is Wines with character and depth – Chablis as it should be drunk.
At Wine In Time you will find selected Raveneau Wines that perfectly reflect this philosophy and will deepen your understanding of great Chablis.

Francois Raveneau
The Francois Raveneau winery is known for its White Wines from Burgundy, France. The Montée de Tonnerre carries the Premier Cru classification, reflecting its special status within the region.
It was made from Chardonnay, the grape that has always been synonymous with complex, expressive White Wines in Burgundy. The 2009 Vintage has now reached a certain maturity that can lend the wine depth and structure. Typical of Chardonnay from this region are a balanced structure and an interplay of fruit and subtle spice.
On the palate, the wine presents itself with a subtle, typical character for its origin: concentrated, vibrant, and with a clean finish. Those who appreciate White Wines with character and depth will find this a perfect companion for quiet, enjoyable moments.
The Montee de Tonnerre is best served well chilled, but not too cold, so that its aromas can fully develop. It pairs well with delicate fish dishes, poultry with cream sauce, or creamy risottos. You can conveniently purchase the Francois Raveneau Montee de Tonnerre 2009 from Wine In Time : With express delivery in Vienna, you'll receive your wine quickly at home.
