Promontory
The 2009 Promontory is a revelation from California – a Cabernet Sauvignon of monumental class, embodying the DNA of its unique terroir. Located on the slopes of the famous Oakville Bench in the heart of Napa Valley, the Promontory winery cultivates its vines on rocky, volcanic soil. Here, wine is produced with an intensity and precision that is unparalleled.
The winemaking process is carried out with the utmost care: hand-picked grapes, spontaneous fermentation in small wooden vats, and subsequent aging in French oak barrels. The 2009 Vintage is considered legendary – a year that offered California perfect conditions. Every bottle of Promontory is a testament to patience, craftsmanship, and the vision of understanding wine as an expression of place and time.
On the nose, a symphony of blackcurrant, graphite, and cedar unfolds, underscored by notes of dark chocolate and Provençal herbs. On the palate, the wine impresses with its monumental structure, silky tannins, and a fruit density that never feels heavy. The finish is seemingly endless – mineral, elegant, and powerful.
At Wine In Time you'll find this exceptional wine as well as our entire selection of Red Wines . Order it conveniently online and have it delivered to your home in Vienna via express delivery.
Serve the Promontory 2009 at 16–18°C with braised beef, venison medallions, or aged hard cheese. A wine that demands silence and creates memories.
