About the manufacturer
Ruinart
Ruinart is the oldest champagne house in the world and looks back on a fascinating history that began in Reims in 1729. To this day, the house operates according to principles that prioritize elegance and finesse – not opulence or excess.
What makes Ruinart special is its unwavering focus on Chardonnay. With their Blanc de Blancs Champagnes, you'll create true classics: mineral, finely structured, and with an impressive freshness that remains captivating even after years. Dom Ruinart, the house's prestige cuvée, demonstrates what's possible when tradition meets modern winemaking – complex, multifaceted, and exceptionally age-worthy.
The rosé varieties also impress with their delicate color and balanced flavor profile. Ruinart proves that great champagne doesn't have to be loud, but can captivate through elegance and character.
At Wine In Time you will find a carefully selected range of the best Ruinart champagnes – for explorers who value authentic quality and history.

The Ruinart R de Ruinart is the perfect introduction to the world of the oldest Champagne house, which has stood for exceptional quality since 1729. This classic Champagne cuvée combines approximately 40% Chardonnay with Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier to create a harmonious and expressive Champagne. The grapes come from the region's finest vineyards, with Ruinart blending in up to 40% reserve Wines from its best Vintages – a guarantee of consistent quality and complexity.
Vinified according to the traditional Méthode Champenoise and aged on the lees for over 24 months, the R de Ruinart develops its characteristic creaminess and depth. Ruinart's famous chalk cellars, located deep beneath Reims, offer ideal conditions for slow aging and impart the champagne with its fine minerality.
On the nose, an elegant bouquet of white fruits, brioche, and delicate citrus notes unfolds. On the palate, the R de Ruinart reveals itself as complex and traditional: fresh apples, pears, and a hint of hazelnut meld with a fine creaminess. The lively acidity carries the aromas through to the long, mineral finish, accompanied by a fine perlage.
