About the manufacturer
Ruinart
Ruinart is the oldest champagne house in the world and looks back on a fascinating history that began in Reims in 1729. To this day, the house operates according to principles that prioritize elegance and finesse – not opulence or excess.
What makes Ruinart special is its unwavering focus on Chardonnay. With their Blanc de Blancs Champagnes, you'll create true classics: mineral, finely structured, and with an impressive freshness that remains captivating even after years. Dom Ruinart, the house's prestige cuvée, demonstrates what's possible when tradition meets modern winemaking – complex, multifaceted, and exceptionally age-worthy.
The rosé varieties also impress with their delicate color and balanced flavor profile. Ruinart proves that great champagne doesn't have to be loud, but can captivate through elegance and character.
At Wine In Time you will find a carefully selected range of the best Ruinart champagnes – for explorers who value authentic quality and history.

Rose Second Peau
Ruinart, founded in 1729, is the oldest Champagne house in the world and a pioneer in both craftsmanship and innovation. From the chalk cellars of Champagne comes this rosé, whose concept is as surprising as its contents: Seconde Peau, the "second skin," replaces the classic cardboard box with a wafer-thin, recyclable paper sleeve that clings tightly to the bottle's shape and significantly reduces its carbon footprint.
The blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier is produced using the traditional method, with a portion of Red Wine contributing to its characteristic salmon-pink color. Extended aging on the lees lends the Champagne its depth and complexity, while the interplay of the three grape varieties ensures a balance between freshness, fruit, and structure.
The nose reveals red berries, a hint of pomegranate, and floral notes, underpinned by a touch of brioche. On the palate, the rosé is juicy and vibrant, with a fine, silky texture. Cherry and raspberry mingle with mineral freshness, and the finish is long and elegant, with a slightly spicy aftertaste.
