About the manufacturer
Romanee Conti
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is the most legendary winery in the world – and rightly so. In Vosne-Romanée, in the heart of Burgundy, this institution cultivates just 1,8 hectares of some of France's most prized vineyards. Here, Wines are produced that set standards and melt the hearts of collectors.
What makes DRC so extraordinary? Its unwavering philosophy of perfection. Every grape is treated with almost obsessive care, and each Vintage reflects the terroir with absolute authenticity. The Wines – whether the velvety Pinot Noirs like Romanée-Conti or La Tâche, or the mineral White Wines like Le Montrachet – combine elegance, complexity, and an almost meditative depth.
DRC has been cultivating its vineyards biodynamically since 1947, long before it became fashionable. This isn't a marketing strategy, but a lived conviction. You can taste the dedication, the tradition, and the uncompromising standards in every sip.
At Wine In Time you will find a carefully selected range of these precious Wines – your access to the greatest Burgundy classics.

Cuvee Duvault Blochet
Buying the Romanée-Conti Cuvée Duvault-Blochet 2008 means acquiring a piece of wine history. This exceptional cuvée comes from the legendary Domaine de la Romanée-Conti estate and combines grapes from the most famous Grand Cru vineyards of Burgundy – a tribute to the former owner Jacques-Marie Duvault-Blochet, who led the Domaine to its greatness.
The vinification follows the Domaine's uncompromising traditions: spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, careful extraction, and aging in the highest quality French oak barrels. The 2008 Vintage is characterized by its fresh acidity and enormous aging potential – a classic year that prioritizes elegance over opulence.
On the nose, a complex bouquet of ripe cherries, raspberries, and wild strawberries unfolds, accompanied by delicate notes of rose petals, cloves, and fine undergrowth. On the palate, the wine presents a silky texture, with perfectly integrated acidity and fine-grained tannins. Layers of red fruit, truffle, and mineral accents intertwine to form a harmonious whole. The finish is endless, elegant, and captivatingly long.
At Wine In Time, you can easily order this legendary wine online – with express delivery to Vienna and all of Austria. Discover our selection of Red Wines, featuring other rare finds for connoisseurs and collectors.
