Wild Citrus
Oyster Wild Citrus from Tivat combines Montenegrin craftsmanship with the untamed freshness of the Adriatic coast. The Oyster distillery is dedicated to the art of transforming local botanicals into exceptional spirits – and this gin is a shining example of that.
Only a few hundred bottles per batch are produced using an elaborate, small-scale distillation process. Wild lemons, oranges, and tangerines from the Montenegrin coast form the aromatic heart, complemented by juniper berries, coriander, and a secret selection of Mediterranean herbs. Maceration takes place gently at low temperatures to perfectly preserve the essential oils.
The nose is immediately greeted by a vibrant citrus explosion: fresh lemon zest, juicy orange peel, and a hint of bergamot. On the palate, the Oyster Wild Citrus is elegantly balanced – the juniper note remains present, while the wild citrus fruits provide a sunny lightness. Subtle herbal notes and a delicate pepperiness add depth. The finish is long, refreshing, and leaves a touch of sea breeze.
At Wine In Time in Vienna, you can find this Montenegrin rarity with express delivery directly to your home. We bring you Mediterranean gin culture of the highest quality.
The Oyster Wild Citrus is best served neat on ice or as a Gin & Tonic with neutral tonic water and a slice of fresh lemon. It pairs wonderfully with grilled fish, seafood, or as an aperitif with Mediterranean appetizers.
