Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe – The History
Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe is a winery steeped in history and character, located in the southern Rhône Valley, more precisely in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Here, in one of France's most prestigious wine regions, Wines of exceptional depth and complexity have been produced for generations.
The winery impresses with its philosophy of balancing tradition and modern winemaking. The vines grow on characteristic pebbles – known as "galets roulés" – which retain heat and impart intense aromas to the grapes. The name "Vieux Télégraphe" (Old Telegraph) comes from an old telegraph line that ran through the vineyard – a beautiful reminder of its deep roots in local history.
The Wines, especially the famous Cuvée La Crau, showcase the classic Southern Rhône style: powerful, concentrated, and full-bodied, but never overpowering. Grenache forms the backbone, supported by Syrah, Mourvèdre, and other varieties. The result is Wines with great aging potential and immediate drinking pleasure.
At Wine In Time you will find authentic Rhône classics with real character and reliable quality.
