Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe is a winery steeped in history and character, located in the southern Rhône Valley, more precisely in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Here, in one of France's most prestigious wine regions, Wines of exceptional depth and complexity have been produced for generations.
The winery impresses with its philosophy of balancing tradition and modern winemaking. The vines grow on characteristic pebbles – known as "galets roulés" – which retain heat and impart intense aromas to the grapes. The name "Vieux Télégraphe" (Old Telegraph) comes from an old telegraph line that ran through the vineyard – a beautiful reminder of its deep roots in local history.

The Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe estate has cultivated the stony La Crau plateau for generations, where ancient vines thrive in pebbly soils. The 2005 Vintage is considered exceptional – concentrated, balanced, and with enormous aging potential.
This cuvée is primarily a blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah, vinified using traditional methods. The grapes are hand-harvested, spontaneously fermented, and aged in large foudres. No fining, no filtration – a pure expression of the terroir. The result is a wine of impressive structure and depth.
On the nose, dark cherries, cassis, and blackberries unfold, accompanied by garrigue herbs, black pepper, and a hint of truffle.
