Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

At the foot of the Andes, where the altitude ensures cool nights and intense sunny days, the Terrazas de los Andes winery crafts its Wines with a precision that is evident in every taste. The grapes for this Cabernet Sauvignon come from Mendoza , the Argentinian region that gives Cabernet Sauvignon its distinctive profile – ripe, but never heavy.

The high altitudes between 900 and 1200 meters ensure a long, slow ripening phase. Nighttime cooling preserves the acidity and sharpens the tannin structure, while aging in oak barrels lends the wine depth and structure without overpowering it. The result is a Cabernet Sauvignon that unmistakably bears the signature of its terroir.

On the nose, dark berries, cassis, and a hint of graphite unfold, underpinned by delicate toasty notes from the wood. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet finely chiseled: ripe black fruit, a present but well-integrated tannin structure, and a freshness that creates tension. The finish is long, with a lingering aftertaste of dark chocolate and spicy herbal notes.
