About the manufacturer
Roberto Voerzio
Roberto Voerzio is one of Piedmont's finest Barolo producers, renowned for exceptional quality from the La Morra wine region. For decades, the winery has relied on traditional methods combined with a modern understanding of viticulture – resulting in complex, elegant Barolos with profound character.
What makes Voerzio special: The winery focuses on small, carefully selected parcels in the heart of the Barolo region. The Wines are made from old Nebbiolo vines, vinified with great respect for the terroir, and aged in traditional large wooden casks. This results in Wines with structure, elegance, and impressive aging potential – not the over-extracted, modern Barolos, but authentic classics.
The Riserva RV350, which you'll find in our selection, is a prime example: concentrated, complex, and with that velvety tannin structure that characterizes true Barolo. The single-vineyard Barolos, such as Pozzo dell'Annunziata, also demonstrate just how diverse and multifaceted the Wines of this estate can be.
If you're looking for genuine, classic Barolo Wines that deserve time and patience, you'll find them here – and more.

The Roberto Voerzio Cerequio 2019 is a masterpiece from one of the most famous cru vineyards in the Barolo region. Roberto Voerzio is considered one of the most meticulous and visionary winemakers in Piedmont , and his Wines from the Cerequio vineyard combine power with silky elegance in an unparalleled way. This hillside vineyard in La Morra produces Nebbiolo of unique finesse – dense but never heavy, structured but never harsh.
Vinification is carried out with the utmost care: long maceration periods, traditional fermentation in open wooden vats, followed by aging in French barriques. Roberto Voerzio works with minimal intervention to bring the pure essence of the vineyard to the glass. Extremely low yields and meticulous selection guarantee maximum concentration combined with finesse.
On the nose, a bouquet of dark cherries, rose petals, tobacco, and delicate spice notes unfolds. On the palate, the wine reveals its most complex side: silky tannins, vibrant acidity, layers of red fruit, licorice, and truffle. The finish is endless, intricately woven, with a lingering minerality.
