About the manufacturer
Roberto Voerzio
Roberto Voerzio is one of Piedmont's finest Barolo producers, renowned for exceptional quality from the La Morra wine region. For decades, the winery has relied on traditional methods combined with a modern understanding of viticulture – resulting in complex, elegant Barolos with profound character.
What makes Voerzio special: The winery focuses on small, carefully selected parcels in the heart of the Barolo region. The Wines are made from old Nebbiolo vines, vinified with great respect for the terroir, and aged in traditional large wooden casks. This results in Wines with structure, elegance, and impressive aging potential – not the over-extracted, modern Barolos, but authentic classics.
The Riserva RV350, which you'll find in our selection, is a prime example: concentrated, complex, and with that velvety tannin structure that characterizes true Barolo. The single-vineyard Barolos, such as Pozzo dell'Annunziata, also demonstrate just how diverse and multifaceted the Wines of this estate can be.
If you're looking for genuine, classic Barolo Wines that deserve time and patience, you'll find them here – and more.

Rocche dell'Annunziata
The Roberto Voerzio Rocche dell'Annunziata 2019 comes from one of the most sought-after vineyards in the Barolo region and embodies the perfect balance between power and elegance. Roberto Voerzio is considered a pioneer of modern Barolo winemaking, masterfully combining tradition and innovation. His vines are rooted in the calcareous marl soils of Rocche dell'Annunziata in La Morra, one of the finest addresses for Wines from Piedmont . Here, Nebbiolo grapes reach their full potential.
The vinification process is carried out with the utmost care: spontaneous fermentation in large wooden vats, followed by extended maceration and aging in French oak barrels. Voerzio works with minimal yields and extracts only the very best from each grape. The result is a wine of remarkable concentration and a silky texture.
On the nose, a complex bouquet of dark cherries, dried roses, violets, and delicate spice notes unfolds. The palate reveals the full class of this Barolo: firm, perfectly integrated tannins, vibrant acidity, and layers of red fruit, licorice, tobacco, and minerality. The finish is long, precise, and of noble depth.
