The Clos de Tart Monopole 2015 is one of the most sought-after Grand Crus from Burgundy . The historic Monopole vineyard in Morey-Saint-Denis is one of the few single-owner sites in the Côte de Nuits. For centuries, only Pinot Noir has been cultivated here – on calcareous soils that impart an unparalleled minerality to the wine.
Vinification is carried out with the utmost care: After selective hand-harvesting, spontaneous fermentation takes place, followed by extended aging in French oak barrels. The 2015 Vintage is considered exceptional – warm, but not hot, with perfect ripeness and balance. The result is a wine of impressive concentration and Burgundian finesse.
On the nose, dark cherries, raspberries, and floral notes of violets unfold, accompanied by spices such as clove and a delicate hint of smoke. The palate reveals a silky texture, ripe tannins, and vibrant freshness. Black fruits mingle with earthy nuances, undergrowth, and fine minerality.
