Clos Vougeot 2016

The Meo Camuzet Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2016 is one of the great icons among Burgundy Wines . The Meo Camuzet winery in Nuits-Saint-Georges is among the region's most prestigious producers and cultivates parcels in this historic Grand Cru with the utmost care. Enclosed by a centuries-old wall, Clos Vougeot is one of Burgundy's most famous vineyards – and this 2016 Vintage impressively demonstrates why.

The grapes were hand-picked and vinified in the cellar using traditional methods. After gentle fermentation, the wine matured in French oak barrels, which gave it additional complexity and structure without sacrificing its Burgundian finesse. Meo Camuzet focuses on minimalist interventions to authentically express the terroir.

On the nose, the 2016 Meo Camuzet Clos Vougeot unfolds a captivating bouquet of ripe cherries, blackberries, and delicate spice notes, accompanied by subtle undergrowth and a hint of violets. On the palate, the wine is powerful yet elegant, with silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and impressive depth. The finish is long, spicy, and remarkably precise – a wine that makes its Grand Cru heritage evident at every moment.
