The Ferrando Isabel Colombis 2010 is a remarkable Grenache from the Rhône , bearing the hallmarks of exceptional winemaking. This limited bottling comes from an outstanding Vintage and demonstrates the aging potential that can lie dormant in great southern French Red Wines.
The vinification follows traditional methods: the grapes were hand-harvested and spontaneously fermented. Aging took place in neutral barrels, thus preserving the pure fruit and minerality of the terroir. With over a decade of bottle aging, the 2010 Ferrando Isabel Colombis has developed into a complex and compelling wine.
The nose unfolds aromas of dark cherries, figs, and plums, accompanied by notes of dried herbs, lavender, and a subtle spiciness. On the palate, a silky texture is revealed with polished tannins perfectly integrated into the ripe fruit structure. The wine possesses remarkable depth and an elegant, saline minerality. The finish is long, spicy, and leaves a lasting impression.
