What sets Michel Lafarge apart is their unwavering passion for quality and respect for the terroir. Fleurie
The Michel Lafarge Fleurie 2023 is impressive proof that Gamay is among France's most fascinating grape varieties. The renowned Michel Lafarge winery, originally based in Volnay, has been producing Wines of exceptional finesse for generations – and this Fleurie is every bit as good as the famous Burgundies. The grapes come from vineyards in Burgundy , specifically from the Fleurie appellation, where granite soils contribute to the wine's characteristic elegance and minerality.
The vinification process is traditional: whole-cluster fermentation, gentle maceration, and aging in used barrels preserve the pure fruit and allow the terroir to fully express itself. No embellishment, no tricks – just craftsmanship and respect for the grape. The Michel Lafarge Fleurie 2023 is transparent and honest, a wine that proudly bears its origin.
On the nose, a bouquet of red berries, cherries, and floral notes unfolds, accompanied by delicate spice and a hint of granite. On the palate, the wine is both silky and vibrant, with a fine texture, refreshing acidity, and a touch of pepper. The finish is elegant, refined, and remarkably long – a Gamay that will stay with you long after you've finished tasting it.
At Wine In Time, you'll find not only this exceptional wine, but a carefully curated selection of Red Wines , which we deliver to you within Vienna in just 2 hours via express service. Order it to your home and experience French wine culture in its purest form.
Serve the Fleurie slightly chilled at 14–16 degrees Celsius with braised rabbit, coq au vin, roasted poultry, or even a hearty mushroom risotto. A wine to accompany you through all seasons.
