About the manufacturer
Michel Lafarge
Michel Lafarge is one of the great wineries of the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy – a name synonymous with artisanal excellence and authenticity. The estate cultivates vineyards in some of the finest sites in Volnay and Meursault, where it has been producing Wines of impressive finesse and depth for generations.
What sets Michel Lafarge apart is their unwavering passion for quality and respect for the terroir. The family works traditionally and sustainably, eschewing modern quick fixes and instead focusing on patient vinification and ripe grapes. The result is Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays that exude elegance and minerality – not opulent, but precise and balanced.
Here you'll find the characteristic Volnays with their velvety texture, alongside expressive Meursaults and specialties like the Passetoutgrain Anthologie, which demonstrates how magnificent everyday Wines can be when crafted with care. Each Vintage tells the story of a special year in Burgundy.
At Wine In Time you get authentic Michel Lafarge Wines in carefully selected Vintages – ideal for those who appreciate true Burgundian classics.

The Michel Lafarge Grèves Premier Cru 2022 comes from one of Beaune's most prestigious vineyards and embodies everything Burgundy is loved for: elegance, complexity, and a distinctive character. Domaine Michel Lafarge in Volnay has been working with traditional methods for generations, producing Wines that are among the region's icons. The Premier Cru vineyard Grèves yields grapes of exceptional concentration, perfectly ripened in this Vintage.
The Michel Lafarge Grèves 2022 matured in French oak barrels, with the winery employing a judicious use of wood to avoid masking the delicate aromas. Vinification proceeds at its own pace – slowly, respectfully, with minimal intervention. The result is a wine of sublime clarity and depth, reflecting the essence of its terroir in every nuance.
On the nose, an enchanting interplay of red cherries, dark berries, and floral notes of violets unfolds. Subtle spice nuances and a hint of damp earth lend the bouquet additional dimension. On the palate, the Pinot Noir reveals its silkiest side: elegantly structured, with fine tannins and vibrant acidity that guarantees freshness and length. The finish is persistent, mineral, and crystalline – a wine that lingers.
At Wine In Time in Vienna, you can get excellent Red Wines like this one delivered quickly and reliably to your home. Whether for a special occasion or your own collection – we bring Burgundian finesse directly to your door.
Serve the Michel Lafarge Grèves 2022 slightly chilled at around 16 degrees Celsius with roast duck, braised beef, or aged cheese. It pairs ideally with sophisticated dishes, highlighting its elegance without overpowering it.
