Vosne Romanee
Domaine Duroche lies in the heart of Gevrey-Chambertin and is one of Burgundy's quiet gems. Family-owned for generations, the winery works with meticulous care in the parcels surrounding the famous Burgundy vineyards , where chalky soil and a cool climate give the Pinot Noir its distinctive character.
The 2023 Vosne-Romanée comes from an appellation renowned for its finesse and aromatic depth. In the cellar, Duroche employs traditional vinification methods, employing gentle extraction, spontaneous fermentation, and aging in French oak – a process that carefully interweaves fruit and structure without masking the terroir's character.
On the nose, a bouquet of red cherries, wild berries, and delicate spice notes unfolds, underpinned by a hint of undergrowth and subtle smoke. On the palate, the wine is silky yet dense, with ripe fruit, vibrant but polished acidity, and a fine-grained tannin structure. The finish is long, spicy, and characterized by mineral clarity – a Pinot Noir that perfectly balances power and elegance.
