The Chateau de Beaucastel Hommage à Jacques Perrin 2012 is a tribute to the legendary patriarch of the Perrin family and is among the most exceptional Red Wines of the southern Wines from the RhôneThe Chateau de Beaucastel in the heart of Châteauneuf-du-Pape has been cultivating old Grenache vines for generations, from which this limited cuvée is created – complemented by Mourvèdre and Syrah from the best parcels of the estate.
The vinification follows the strictest biodynamic principles. After hand-harvesting, the grapes are gently fermented and then aged for 18 months in large wooden barrels. The 2012 Vintage is characterized by perfect ripening conditions: warm days, cool nights, and a long growing season created ideal conditions for concentrated, aromatic grapes.
On the nose, a complex bouquet of dark berries, cassis, and blackberries unfolds, accompanied by nuances of truffle, garrigue herbs, and fine spices. On the palate, the wine is rich and intense, with velvety tannins, perfectly integrated structure, and impressive depth. The finish is long, elegant, and underpinned by a delicate minerality – a wine that can age for decades.
