IX Estate 2006

Buying the Colgin IX Estate 2006 means securing a piece of Californian wine history. The Colgin winery is among the top producers in Napa Valley, and with this Syrah, they have created a wine that has garnered international attention. The grapes come from the prestigious IX Estate Vineyard, where volcanic soils and optimal altitude create ideal conditions. Wines of this caliber from California are only produced in the best Vintages.

The vinification process is carried out with meticulous precision: hand-picked grapes, temperature-controlled fermentation in small batches, followed by 18 months of aging in new French oak barrels. The Colgin IX Estate 2006 exhibits the elegance that Helen Turley and later Mark Aubert, as consultants, established. Every bottle bears the hallmark of uncompromising quality.

On the nose, a captivating symphony of dark berries, violets, and black pepper unfolds, underpinned by notes of roasted espresso and Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, the Colgin IX Estate 2006 surprises with a silky texture, ripe fruit, and perfectly integrated tannins. Black cherry, cassis, and dark chocolate meld into a harmonious whole. The finish is endlessly long, with subtle spice and mineral depth.
