About the manufacturer
Quartermaster
Fourrier is a traditional winery from Gevrey-Chambertin in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, dedicated to Pinot Noir for generations. With small parcels in some of Burgundy's finest vineyards – from Gevrey-Chambertin and Griotte-Chambertin to Clos Saint-Jacques – the estate produces Wines of impressive elegance and complexity.
What sets Fourrier apart is its unwavering craftsmanship: The winery works with meticulous care in the vineyards and relies on traditional methods in vinification. You can taste the intense engagement with the terroir in every glass – the Wines display precise minerality, fine tannins, and a natural tension typical of the finest Burgundian Pinot Noirs.
The harvest is selective, yields are deliberately kept low, and intervention is minimal. The result: authentic, age-worthy Wines that honestly reflect the estate and its vineyards. Whether enjoyed young or developed over years, Fourrier Wines impress with their finesse and depth.
At Wine In Time you will find a curated selection of these Burgundy classics, which you will rarely find together in this quality.

Les Cherbaudes
The Fourrier Les Cherbaudes Premier Cru 2023 comes from the heart of the Côte de Nuits and embodies the unmistakable style of the Jean-Claude Fourrier winery. This Burgundy wine grows in the prestigious Les Cherbaudes vineyard in Vosne-Romanée, where calcareous soils and hillside location create optimal conditions for Pinot Noir.
Jean-Claude Fourrier vinifies according to traditional Burgundian methods: gentle hand-harvesting, spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, and judicious use of new oak. This natural vinification allows the terroir to take center stage, resulting in Wines of rare precision and clarity. Despite its youth, the 2023 Vintage is already approachable, yet also promises wonderful aging potential.
On the nose, an elegant bouquet of red cherries, raspberries, and subtle spice notes unfolds. On the palate, the Fourrier Les Cherbaudes 2023 presents a silky texture, lively acidity, and fine, ripe tannins. The finish displays mineral finesse and lingering fruit – a wine that combines elegance and depth.
At Wine In Time, you can order this exceptional Premier Cru online and benefit from express delivery in Vienna. Discover other treasures in our Red Wine selection and expand your Burgundy collection with a true rarity.
