Massive A 2003

The Artner Massive A 2003 is an impressive cuvée of Merlot and Syrah, created by the Artner winery in the legendary heatwave year of 2003 in Carnuntum, Lower Austria . This wine-growing region between Vienna and the Slovakian border is known for powerful, age-worthy Red Wines with distinctive character – and this Massive A is a prime example.

The wine was vinified using traditional methods in barriques, allowing it time to solidify its structure and refine its aromas. After nearly two decades of aging, this wine is now complex, sophisticated, and remarkably deep. The combination of Merlot and Syrah lends it both elegance and structure – a style that Artner has mastered.

On the nose, the Artner Massive A 2003 unfolds dark fruit, dried plums, tobacco, and subtle spice notes. On the palate, it is hearty and classic, with soft tannins and a ripe, well-integrated structure. The finish is long, spicy, and carried by a pleasant warmth – a wine with personality and history.
