Platinum White
Buying the Pur Platin White 2017 means choosing one of the most characterful Grüner Veltliners from the Wachau region. With this Vintage, the Pur winery has created a wine that combines the region's mineral precision with exceptional density. The grapes come from first-class vineyards in Lower Austria , where poor soils and the Pannonian climate contribute to intense aromatics.
Vinification follows traditional methods, with spontaneous fermentation and extended lees aging lending the wine additional complexity. At 14% alcohol, the Pur Platin White 2017 displays power without heaviness – a sign of perfect ripeness and precise cellar work. The aging period has given it added depth without sacrificing its vibrant freshness.
On the nose, a spectrum of green notes unfolds: gooseberry, unripe pear, freshly cut grass. Underlying this is a pronounced minerality reminiscent of damp flint. On the palate, the wine is taut and precise, with vibrant acidity and a saline finish. The finish is long, cool, and characterized by a tart elegance – a wine that needs time to fully open up.
At Wine In Time in Vienna, you'll find not only this exceptional Grüner Veltliner, but also other White Wines from renowned Austrian vineyards. Order the Pur Platin White 2017 online and benefit from our express delivery directly to your home.
Serve it well chilled at 10–12°C with shellfish, crab, or lobster. It also unfolds its full potential with oysters or pan-fried turbot. A wine for special occasions and discerning palates.
