About the manufacturer
Sine Qua Non
Sine Qua Non is a California winery from Paso Robles, renowned for its unconventional and extremely limited productions. The founder and winemaker follows a radical philosophy: each bottle is a work of art, each Vintage an experiment with its own name and often its own design.
You won't find any standard Wines here. Sine Qua Non works with unusual grape blends and boldly experiments with vinification and style. Wines like "The Hated Hunter" or "Kolibri" are an expression of this artistic freedom – intense, complex, and often polarizing. The winery deliberately produces in tiny quantities, making these Wines highly sought-after collector's items.
Quality is non-negotiable. Despite the playful approach, the Wines produced possess great depth and aging potential, offering a unique interpretation of the Californian terroir. Each bottling tells a story and challenges you to reconsider your expectations of taste.
At Wine In Time you will find a curated selection of these rare treasures – for all those who dare to drink beyond the ordinary.

The 2013 Sine Qua Non Resiste is a rare White Wine blend from California that sets new standards. The legendary Sine Qua Non winery, led by the visionary Manfred Krankl, creates strictly limited cuvées year after year that are highly sought after by collectors worldwide. The 2013 Resiste combines Roussanne, Chardonnay, Petite Manseng, and Viognier into a powerful, multifaceted California wine that perfectly balances complexity and drinkability.
The winemaking process is carried out with the utmost care: hand-harvesting, spontaneous fermentation in French oak barrels, and extended aging on the lees give the wine depth and structure. Each grape variety contributes its strength – the creamy texture of Roussanne, the freshness of Chardonnay, the exotic fruit of Petite Manseng, and the aromatic richness of Viognier. At 15,5% alcohol, Resiste is powerful, but never heavy.
On the nose, intense notes of ripe pineapple, apricot, honeydew melon, and white blossoms unfold, accompanied by delicate vanilla and roasted aromas. On the palate, it delights with tropical fruit, creamy richness, and a lively acidity that guarantees balance and length. The finish is lingering, spicy, and infused with mineral freshness – an experience that resonates long after the last sip.
