About the manufacturer
Roberto Voerzio
Roberto Voerzio is one of Piedmont's finest Barolo producers, renowned for exceptional quality from the La Morra wine region. For decades, the winery has relied on traditional methods combined with a modern understanding of viticulture – resulting in complex, elegant Barolos with profound character.
What makes Voerzio special: The winery focuses on small, carefully selected parcels in the heart of the Barolo region. The Wines are made from old Nebbiolo vines, vinified with great respect for the terroir, and aged in traditional large wooden casks. This results in Wines with structure, elegance, and impressive aging potential – not the over-extracted, modern Barolos, but authentic classics.
The Riserva RV350, which you'll find in our selection, is a prime example: concentrated, complex, and with that velvety tannin structure that characterizes true Barolo. The single-vineyard Barolos, such as Pozzo dell'Annunziata, also demonstrate just how diverse and multifaceted the Wines of this estate can be.
If you're looking for genuine, classic Barolo Wines that deserve time and patience, you'll find them here – and more.

The Roberto Voerzio Pozzo dell'Annunziata 2016 Magnum is one of Piedmont's great Barbera interpretations and embodies the uncompromising style of one of Italy's most renowned winemakers. Roberto Voerzio cultivates his vineyards in La Morra with a precision and dedication that is palpable in every drop. The magnum bottle underscores the status of this exceptional wine and offers ideal aging conditions.
The grapes for Pozzo dell'Annunziata come from one of the region's finest single vineyards, where calcareous soils and optimal southern exposure provide perfect ripening conditions. After selective hand-harvesting and traditional vinification, the wine matures in French oak barrels, which lend it structure and complexity without masking the characteristic freshness of the Barbera grape. Low yields and meticulous work at the winery guarantee the highest quality.
On the nose, a captivating bouquet of dark cherries, plums, and blackberries unfolds, accompanied by spicy notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and a hint of tobacco. On the palate, the wine is dense and powerful, yet always elegant and supported by a fine acidity. Silky tannins and an impressively long finish make this Barbera a truly memorable experience.
