The blend of Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, and Merlot was aged in small oak barrels and is showing wonderful development today. The hot 2003 Vintage produced concentrated grapes, which Gernot Heinrich skillfully crafted into a powerful yet balanced wine. The extended aging has perfectly integrated the tannins and acidity.
