The Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2017 is more than just a wine – it's an Italian icon. Born from the barren soils of Bolgheri on the Tuscan coast, the Tenuta San Guido winery has made wine history with this Super Tuscan. Tuscan Wines represent both tradition and innovation, but the Sassicaia remains incomparable.
For decades, the vinification process has followed a clear ritual: Cabernet Sauvignon dominates the blend, complemented by a touch of Cabernet Franc. After hand-harvesting, the wine matures for 24 months in French oak barrels, followed by further months in the bottle. The result is pure refinement without pomp. The 2017 Vintage is particularly expressive and complex.
On the nose, a symphony of dark berries, cassis, and graphite unfolds, supported by notes of cedar and tobacco. The palate reveals a silky texture with perfectly integrated tannins. Blackcurrant, licorice, and delicate herbal spice dance across the tongue, while a cool minerality grounds the wine. The finish is long, precise, and of aristocratic elegance.
At Wine In Time, you'll find the Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2017 in excellent availability. Order it conveniently online and enjoy express delivery directly to Vienna. Discover our entire selection of Red Wines for even more treasures.
