The Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2020 is one of Italy's most iconic Wines and has profoundly shaped the face of Tuscany. With this Super Tuscan, the Tenuta San Guido winery in Bolgheri created a legend that continues to set standards. Here in Tuscany , not far from the coast, Wines of international renown are produced on barren, mineral-rich soils.
The 2020 Sassicaia is a precise blend of approximately 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc. After careful hand-harvesting, the grapes mature in French oak barrels, where the wine gains its structure and complexity. The result is a wine of impressive depth, masterfully combining power and finesse.
On the nose, an elegant bouquet of blackcurrants, cedarwood, graphite, and a subtle smoky note unfolds. On the palate, the Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2020 reveals a firm tannin structure, vibrant freshness, and remarkable length. Dark fruit, delicate spice, and mineral nuances meld into a complex, multi-layered flavor experience. The finish is long, silky, and exquisitely precise.
